Stakeholders and community leaders in Akpugo Clan have chosen Dr. Peter Mbah, a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, as their preferred candidate for the Enugu State governorship election in 2023 amid intense campaigning.
When they gathered at Barr’s house, the PDP campaign spokesman, the leaders of the communities and political players made their decision public.
Nana Ogbodo in the town of Akpugo The stakeholders stated that they had rejected the All Progressives Congress (APC) and other political parties due to Mbah’s impeccable qualities and capacity to fulfill their mandate at the well-attended reception they organized to reassure Mbah of their unwavering support.
Tending to the get-together, Ogbodo, who serves as the director, Akpugo Partners Gathering, a body that cut across various ideological groups, proficient bodies and strain gatherings, said the 12 independent networks in the tribe, with five political wards, had no option in contrast to the PDP up-and-comer.
Even though some of the members of opposition parties ran for office on their platforms, they claimed that opposition parties had never worked for them.Ogbodo praised Mbah for implementing an inclusive policy through the party’s appointments to its campaign council, which gave Akpugo people important positions.
