As Chief of Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal Hassan Abubakar has taken office.
The retirement and replacement of the service chiefs were announced by the president, Bola Tinubu, on Monday.
The 22nd Chief of Air Staff is Abubakar.
The outgoing CAS, Air Marshal Oludayo Amao, said during the handing and taking over ceremony on Thursday that despite difficulties, his term had numerous triumphs.
He asked his successor to take the service to new heights while in charge.
