Early arrivals at the Akwa Ibom State Governor’s Lodge, the location of the PDP Governors’ Forum’s debut meeting under the present administration, include Governors Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State and Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State.
Seyi Makinde, the governor of Oyo State, has also arrived at the gathering.
Former governors of Rivers (Nyesom Wike), Abia (Okezie Ikpeazu), Enugu (Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi), and Benue (Samuel Ortom), along with Makinde, who has been abstaining from PDP functions, joined party supporters in Bauchi in June and urged a healing process to get underway in the wake of the party’s divisions in the months prior to the general election.
Also, present at the meeting are Sheriff Oborevwori, Dauda Lawal, Duoye Diri, and Ahmadu Fintiri, governors of Delta, Zamfara, Bayelsa, and Adamawa respectively
