In 2019, he assumed the position of Deputy Chief, Staff Training/Operations at the headquarters Infantry Centre and Corps, eventually progressing to become the Commander of Sector 3 Operation Lafiya Dole and the Commander of Sector 3 Multinational Joint Task Force in the Lake Tchad Region.
