The Kaduna State Police Command said its operatives rescued a housewife kidnapped in the early hours of Sunday.
In a statement, the command’s Public Relations Officer, ASP Mansur Hassan, said that around 0100hrs on Sunday, operatives received a call that a group of unidentified armed men had invaded a residence in the Dogarawa area of Sabon Gari Zaria LGA.
“A housewife, 37, was kidnapped at the residence by the kidnappers.”
“When we received the call, our patrol team rushed to the scene and pursued the criminals.” Because of our superior firepower, they abandoned the kidnapped victim, resulting in her rescue,” he explained.
He stated that the kidnapped victim had been returned to her family unharmed. Hassan stated that the investigation was ongoing and that efforts were being made also intensified to arrest the fleeing suspects to face the full wrath of the law.
He appealed for timely and useful information for proactive measures.
