Over 400 children are expected to compete in the 2023 edition of the Seyi Akinwunmi Charity Foundation mini-tournament, which will be held on December 29 at Ajegunle’s Maracana Stadium.
Every year, the Seyi Akinwunmi Charity Foundation awards grants to schoolchildren from the country’s six geopolitical zones.
According to the foundation, the event’s organizing committee paid a visit to the Maracana Stadium on Saturday and agreed to hold a successful 2023 edition of the charity event involving four boys and girls’ U-15 teams.
The foundation also stated that it intends to feed 500 needy children and raise funds to support at least 20 children from each of Nigeria’s six geographical zones.
