On Friday, President Bola Tinubu wished Mr. Tony Elumelu, the Chairman of the Board of the United Bank for Africa, a happy 61st birthday.
The congratulations were included in a statement signed by Ajuri Ngelale, Tinubu’s Special Advisor on Media and Publicity.
“President Tinubu celebrates top business leader Tony Elumelu on his birthday,” reads the statement.
Part of the statement said, “President Tinubu wishes Mr. Elumelu many more years in good health and strength as he persists in his endeavour to contribute substantially to national and continental development.”
The President praised Elumelu for his commercial acumen and the exceptional work ethic that permeates every aspect of his company, highlighting the businessman’s “streak of genius in driving investments, providing chances for Africa’s youth and giving them the encouragement they require to succeed.”
He also expressed gratitude to Elumelu, who was listed as one of Time’s 100 most influential people in the world in 2020, for his unwavering belief in the possibility of a bigger Nigeria and for always presenting the greatest aspects of the country.
