Aisha Yesufu, a well-known social critic, has made fun of former Kaduna and Kogi State governors Nasir El-Rufai and Yahaya Bello for their current struggles.
In a post on her X account, Yesufu stated that politicians in Nigeria believe their eight years in office will last indefinitely.
The statement was made in response to Yahaya Bello’s attempted arrest and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission’s (EFCC) subsequent declaration of his wanted status for offenses including financial and economic crimes.
Bello is sought after in relation to a purported N80.2 billion money laundering case.
The Federal High Court in Abuja was previously notified by the EFCC that, should the need arise, it might use the Nigerian Army to arrest Bello.
