Seliat Raji, the sister of Ahmed Raji, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, was kidnapped in Iseyin, Iseyin Local Government Area, Oyo State, and was released on Tuesday after six days in captivity.
According to TheSpectator the gunmen broke into her home on Thursday night and killed a security officer who was claimed to have resisted throughout the operation.
The Baale Koso of Iseyinland, High Chief Sikiru Adeniji, confirmed her release to Thespectator over the phone, saying she was freed about 2:00am after the ransom was paid.
In related news, gunmen killed an Anambra community leader and kidnapped another. Additionally, a woman was kidnapped and a suspected cultist was arrested in Ogun.
