Alan Fisher, a chef and restaurant entrepreneur from Ireland living in Japan, has set two Guinness World Records for cooking marathons.
He initially established a new record for the “longest cooking marathon (individual)” of 119 hours and 57 minutes. This effort outlasted the previous record of more than 24 hours held by Nigerian chef Hilda Baci.
Following this extraordinary achievement, Fisher next took on the “longest He worked in the kitchen for over 160 hours, with only a day’s respite in between baking marathon (individual)” and set a new record with a time of 47 hours and 21 minutes, according to a statement on the GWR official website. Wendy Sandner of the United States held the previous record of 31 hours and 16 minutes.
