Bandits reportedly assaulted Bello Matawalle’s hometown of Maradun in Zamfara state. The bandits assaulted the community in the early hours of Friday, killing two people and kidnapping over 30 more. The bandits assaulted the town about 2:00 a.m., shooting intermittently and ransacking residents’ homes for two hours. Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has declared Friday, April 26, 2024, as a half-working day for all public and governmental personnel in his state. A remotely piloted aircraft belonging to the Indian Air Force (IAF) crashed in Rajasthan, India’s western state, on Thursday, according to officials. There were no fatalities or property damage recorded in the accident. The aircraft crashed on a normal training sortie near Jaisalmer, roughly 600 kilometers west of Jaipur, Rajasthan’s capital city. The IAF has launched an investigation into the crash. Last month, an IAF Tejas aircraft crashed in the compound of a student dormitory in Jaisalmer while on a training sortie.
