The investigation into the deaths of 17 troops in the Delta State town brought service chiefs before the Senate Joint Committee, which is made up of the Army, Navy, Defense, and Air Force committees, on Wednesday.
As you may recall, on Thursday, a group of military personnel on a peacekeeping assignment in the state were ambushed and killed in the Okuama hamlet located in the Ughelli South Local Government Area.
The joint committee chairman, Ahmed Lawan, revealed that the investigative hearing will take place behind closed doors due to the delicate nature of the subject.
