Entrepreneurs in Nigeria have been urged by marketing and business experts to use cutting-edge tools and methods to build sustainable structures around their businesses that will ensure their survival whether or not they are in charge.
As part of the preparations for the ADVAN Africa Excellence Awards, which are scheduled to take place in November in Lagos, they gave a speech at the inaugural summit of the Advertisers Association of Nigeria Small and Medium Enterprise Business, which was held in conjunction with the SME Mall in Lagos.
According to PUNCH NEWS, Osamede Uwubanmwen, President of the Advertisers Association of Nigeria, spoke on the topic of “Marketing as a tool for sustainable business development.” He said that most entrepreneurs built their businesses around their own skills, abilities, and visions without thinking of their businesses as separate entities. “As an entrepreneur, you have to pay yourself and make sure your business is separate and distinct, and it is dangerous to deep your hand into your business funds to run other things outside of your business,” he said.
