Otunba Michael Olasubomi Balogun, the creator of the FCMB, a new generation bank, has passed away.
Balogun reportedly passed away in London on Friday morning at the age of 89, according to reports.
Prior to his passing, he served as Otunba Tunwase of Ijebuland.
His passing, however, won’t be made public until the appropriate time in accordance with custom as he was a high-ranking Ijebu Chief.
At his final birthday, Balogun, who helped establish investment banking and indigenous financial entrepreneurship in Nigeria, was 89 years old.
