Today, March 25, at the Sir Kashim Ibrahim Government House in Kaduna State, Uba Sani, the state governor, met with the 137 Kuriga pupils who were saved over the weekend from the bandits’ camp.
The Nigerian Army’s Major General Mayirenso Saraso, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of One Mechanized Division, and other Army officers escorted the pupils.
The Governor of Kaduna State, Sani Kila, and the Commissioner of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, received them as Chief of Staff.
While presenting the children to Governor Sani, the GOC said six out of the 137 rescued students are hospitalized at a military hospital.
After spending two weeks in the kidnappers’ den, the students were freed.
