After congratulating Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed on his Supreme Court victory, a group of youths, Kaura Ambassadors Network (KAN), urged him to invest more in youth employment and skill development to combat the threat of criminality and other social vices in the state.
The group’s Director-General, Muslim Maigari, made the call in Bauchi on Friday, urging Mohammed to collaborate with private sector stakeholders to improve his government’s economic plans for the state.
Maigari stated that the economic space must be reviewed urgently in order to create more jobs and support rapid industry growth. According to him, the state is blessed with an abundance of human capital who are desperate for an opportunity to contribute to the State’s development
“Network is pleased with Governor Bala Mohammed’s paradigm shift in the state’s development stride, and the governor’s appointment of more young people to key positions in government will help to sustain this legacy. This way, culture, patriotism, and positive leadership are ingrained in the system.
“There is no price for youth development, women empowerment, security and peaceful co-existence of all ethnic groups in the state,” he went on to say.
The Network congratulated the governor and his deputy, Auwal Jatau, on their Supreme Court victory.
However, the Director General urged citizens, regardless of political party or ethnicity, to support Bala Mohammed and Auwal Jatau’s government in order for it to succeed.
