Ayodele Fayose, a former governor of Ekiti State, has said that Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s candidate for president in 2023, is a danger to watch out for.
Fayose said that Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party’s and Obi were cancers for the People’s Democratic Party in the elections.
According to PunchNews, Fayose said this when he appeared on Channels TV’s “Politics Today” on Thursday night.
He said that his party couldn’t win the South-West or the South-East, even though he didn’t think Obi could get the required 25% of votes.
“I belong to the PDP; Although I am the party’s leader, I have always told you; If you conceal the truth, you will not survive a storm. Obi poses a threat that must be avoided. Obi will not make 25% in two-thirds of the 24 states, in my opinion. Obi won’t make 25 percent, in my opinion. I don’t have anything against Obi; I love him and think he’s a great leader.
However, I must emphasize that Obi is more of a PDP chronic cancer. It cannot be denied. Let me share my analysis with you. People might not like to hear that in the South-West of this country, and they might say Fayose is this; The PDP will not win in the South-West, in my opinion. We can continue to be deceived by anyone. The PDP will not win in the South-East, in my opinion. All interests will be combined in the South-South.
