In order to address incidences of insecurity, former Senate President Bukola Saraki urged the Kwara government to strengthen security in the state on Friday in Abuja.
In response to the killing of Oba Peter Olusegun Aremu-Cole, the traditional ruler (Olukoro) of Koro, Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara, on Thursday and the kidnapping of other members of his family, Dr. Saraki, President of the 8th Senate, issued the demand in a statement.
Saraki’s Media Officer on Local Matters, AbdulGaniyu Abdulqadir, released the statement. He reported that suspected kidnappers shot and killed the traditional ruler of Koro on Thursday night in his palace, taking along his wife, child, and another individual.
Saraki denounced the deed, calling it heinous, brutal, and unforgivable.
