Otunba Subomi Balogun, the founder of First City Monument Bank, was buried on Saturday in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State.
Dignitaries gathered in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, to pay tribute to the late Olori Omo Oba of Ijebuland, who was 89 years old.
The funeral service began at 10:00 am at Ijebu Ode’s Cathedral Church of Our Saviour. A private family burial came after it.
Vice President Kashim Shettima, former head of state Gen. Yakubu Gowon (ret. ), Ogun and Lagos State governors Dapo Abiodun and Babajide Sanwo-Olu, among other notable Nigerians, bid the chairman of the FCMB farewell.
The wealthy businessman passed away on May 18 in London at the age of 89.
