Mallam Saidu Umar, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for governor of Sokoto State, has met with people from Akwa Ibom and Cross River States who live in the State as part of his ongoing interactions with them.
Under the auspices of Akwa-Cross, an amalgamation of stakeholders from the two sister States, Umar stated that the primary objective of the meeting was to connect with the group and provide assurances of a new lease on life under the new PDP administration. He also noted that the PDP was poised to reclaim the country at the center, and in Sokoto, the party was also preparing for its consolidation mission of the achievements of the current administration.
He swore that his organization, whenever casted a ballot into power, will run a comprehensive government that will ensure equivalent open doors to every one of the inhabitants of Sokoto State paying little mind to clan, religion or political connection.
He asserted that because everyone is a part of Nigeria, there is no need to discriminate against one another. He insisted that PDP was the way forward if other communities in Sokoto and Nigeria were to continue prospering.
