The Nigerian Army has informed citizens of Abuja that a combat simulation exercise would be held on Tuesday and Wednesday, October 25 and 26, 2023.
The drill, which will include real-time warfare simulations and activities, will take place at the 7 Guards Battalion Obstacle Course in Lungi Barracks, Maitama.
Njideka Agwu, Acting Deputy Director of Army Public Relations, said in a statement on Monday that the drill is part of the Inter Formation Combat Platoon Obstacle Crossing Competition 2023.
“Hence, there would be large battle sounds that would be heard during the exercise, which are in line with the training exercise,” he said.
Agwu, on the other hand, asked residents of Maitama, Asokoro, AYA, and the surrounding areas to exercise caution to panic, but to continue about their daily routine.
She stated that the war noises would not cause any security worries because all appropriate safety precautions had been taken.
